DOMESTIC PARTICIPANT
If you are any of the following, and living in New Zealand and studying with us in New Zealand, you are a Domestic participant:
- New Zealand citizen
- New Zealand residence class visa holder
- Australian citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Certain other people in special circumstances (please see the Tertiary Education Commission's webpage about this)
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANT
If you are not a domestic participant, but are studying with us in New Zealand, you are an International participant.
International participants must hold a visa that allows the study with us. For people coming to New Zealand primarily to study with us, that typically means obtaining a student visa. Those in New Zealand with other visas (e.g. work visas) should check their visas for conditions; often three months of study is allowed each year.
GLOBAL PARTICIPANT
If you are studying with us outside of New Zealand, you are a global participant.
